How do I tell my dad I have an eating disorder?

My mom found out about my bulimia, but do not understand. She is convinced that I just depressed, but I'm not. I'm not sad, I go with my friends, I will not die. I told her this but she still thinks I am. My father is not about my eating disorder or not. I need my father to support me and help me with this treatment. But I dislike it because he is one, and perhaps not so well known. Talk to your pediatrician, maybe he could talk to the parents for you. Although it is depression, the presumed your mother you still need treatment. couple of suggestions: write a letter or a note saying that simpyly need your support and have difficulty with food? Maybe if you have a meal together and that you are having problems with food in front of you? Participate in a conversation about what you think about food and nutrition, body image / size /? Ask him if he had an experiance with someone who knew / Love suffereing an eating disorder? If you are concerned about their initial reaction, you might want to tell the driver in the car, so you must stay on the road suffereing Tell you and your mother does not help and all you're hoping to find the support you need him. Good luck. Search Site: http://www.somethingfishy.org A section is there to help the family / friends know how to deal with those who have eating disorders. You may want to consider the issue after a conversation with him, what do you think of food. I just want to be honest with him .
